Finder is not a very feature rich file explorer. Those who shifted from Windows to Mac, find it very difficult to use due to it's lack of functionality. There are plenty of Finder alternatives available in the Store. Some of them are free and some of there are not free. I personally use XtraFinder which is free and feature rich. XtraFinder for Mac adds the following functionality to Finder:
1. Cut-Paste, Copy to, Move to, Copy queue, Open Terminal here
2. Google Chrome alike Tabs, Dual Panel, Dual Window
3. Show and hide hidden files, Hide Desktop Icons, Refresh, New File, Invert Selection.
